I am so thankful for many things in my life. I have a great job, a nice home, and many friends that I care and love. I also have a God who is there no matter what. A God that has seen me screw up as many time as I have pleased him. A God who is always there to pick me up and help me along the way to my next goal. I know I am not perfect and I know that I will always make mistakes, but I am thankful for that second chance.
This could also be called Futbol for you international friends.
So many times I have read on people's blogs, 10 things to change your life, 10 things to help you lose weight, or 10 things to improve your sex life. Taking a step back I feel that in order to progress in life we must realize what has made us into who we are. I can say without joking and in all seriousness, that 2008 has been one of the most trying yet rewarding in my 26 years of existence. Many of you know what I have been through and I have got to say that without good friends and my faith in God I would not have made it. With that being said here are 10 things I have learned this year, enjoy. 1.) Sometimes those who you love the most can hurt you the worst. 2.) You are stronger than you could ever imagine if you trust in yourself. 3.) Friends are sometimes the only crutch you have to lean on. 4.) Family is always there for you no matter what. 5.) God is bigger than anything you can ever imagine. 6.) Depression is real and can control your life. 7.) Counseling is good for you and although I used to make fun of it, it helped me alot. 8.) Love can hurt worse than any physical pain. 9.) Music helps me deal with my pain. 10.) Let new people into your life, sometimes they love you more than old friends.
The following was written by one of my friends from college Rashad Reed. With his permission I am going to repost his thoughts on the election. I find it eye opening as well as heart warming. Read, share, enjoy what he has to say!
This morning we woke up to find our van and trailer had been stolen from in front of our friend's house in Rancho Cordova, California.
Everything we have in the world is in that van and trailer. Every piece of equipment, every piece of luggage, all our money…. Everything.
If you are anywhere in California or near the Rancho Cordova/Sacramento area please be on the look-out for a 15-passenger Ford van with Georgia plates and a black double axel trailer with missing fenders and stripes of reflective tape across the black door, please call the police and report it.
We are thousands of miles from home, in the middle of tour and everything we have is gone with no way to get home.
Please pray for us, we know that Christ will provide for us and it is well with out souls. Praise Jesus for times of trials! Our faith is hard as rock.
