Scott Russo, the front man of San Diego's Unwritten Law, lost his Rancho Penasquitos house and possessions in a fire last Thursday.
Because of the hard economic times, the singer had no insurance.
"I am at a complete loss for words," Russo said in a press release. "My entire family is now homeless, all our pets are gone and our earthly possessions have been lost. In these tough times, my family had been out of work and the financial burden was too heavy for me to afford fire insurance. The support from my friends has been overwhelming."
Russo's friends Jason Mraz, the guys in Switchfoot, Unwritten Law and Timmy Curran, along with other local bands, will hold a benefit for the Russo family tonight at House of Blues.
Tickets for the Russo Benefit concert are $45 for general admission and $100 for balcony seats and are on sale at the House of Blues box office and Ticketmaster.
All proceeds of the concert will go to the Russo Family.
